Clumsy Clay is founded by artist, Hannah Simpson. Her ceramics are created in her home studio in The Basin, Victoria. Hannah's artistry juxtaposes her cheeky, rebellious nature with a love for cute illustrative designs.
Hannah began wheel throwing classes in 2019, however, quickly found a love for hand
-building during the pandemic. Hand-building these ceramics means each piece is intrinsically unique, playful and functional.
Through ceramics, Hannah desires to bring people together with the joy of cheeky words and hopes her audience can rediscover the silliness and humanity in words many of us use every day.
